The spectacular new LeGrand Center is a successful collaboration among the Cleveland County, NC Board of Education; County Board of Commissioners; and the Cleveland Community College Foundation Board.  The technologically advanced, multi-use facility is a $19-million, 40,000 square–foot conference center set within the new 89,000 square-foot building in Shelby, NC with two distinct levels of public space and education space including Cleveland Early College High School. 

The Center’s meeting and event space is designed around a state-of-the-art system of custom-manufactured Skyfold Walls that create up to seven separate rooms by retracting vertically into the ceiling in minutes!  This unique approach to flexible meeting space is one of the largest installations of Skyfold Walls in the world and provides independent lighting control and superior acoustics in an atmosphere of modern sophistication.

Integrated cutting-edge conference technology is incorporated throughout the facility and features property-wide WiFi supported by a massive one gigabyte of bandwidth to provide consistent connectivity while great effort was made to provide a design and ambiance that works for every type of event.  The meeting and event rooms reflect a balance of high-tech and soft-touch by blending warm neutral tones and cool colors with sharp and modern architectural influences.
